Steeple Claydon Baby and Toddler group
Steeple Claydon baby and toddler group has been running in the village for the last 30 years! It is for 0-5 year children, in the village hall on Thursdays from 10.00-12.00.
The shed is bursting with toys and we rotate these to keep the children interested and stimulated, as well as having the faithful baby area, cars, trains and home corner every week. We aim to have the sensory room open once a month too for the babies. Crafting every week is coordinated by Katherine and has seasonal themes. We have a healthy snack, with a story midway through, then music instruments and singing to end of the session. All for £2 a family, including tea and coffee.
It is a lovely way to get to know other people with young families in the village and local area. The grown ups have chats regarding how little our children sleep/eat/drive us all a little crazy whilst the children are stimulated and use up their endless energy. We have a small committee and a volunteer rota to assist us with the preparing and packing up, however we do need help to sustain the group. Whether you have recently moved to the village, new to having children, recently retired or just have a few hours to spare the committee would greatly appreciate it. Whether it is just cutting up some snacks to setting the group up, shaking a rattle or helping with some play dough.. we need you. Not only that but is is a lovely way to get involved in the community with flexible commitment.
We will also be having seasonal themed groups and cake donations for the annual macmillan coffee morning on 26th September.
