  • Who we are

Purposely built for the local, working families of Oxford

The Old Station Nursery, set within the Sadler building at Oxford Science Park, offers a modern and fresh space for all children to flourish.

Built for the purpose of providing children with a safe and secure nursery, the setting provides a welcoming environment for all families. The nursery itself is a bright and spacious building, with a beautiful garden area where outdoor play is encouraged, to promote active lifestyles amongst the children. Inside, there are three age-appropriate rooms, led by a passionate and friendly team. Each room has been carefully designed to enhance the children’s development depending on their age group.

Babies and children under two years old start with their own safe and comfortable room, where they can explore and develop at their own pace. The room includes soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments and a variety of other toys to help them learn and grow, with activities suited to each individual child. Once children become more confident, they progress to the toddler’s room, where activities become slightly more structured, with the opportunity to enhance learning with age-appropriate resources such as painting, books and a ‘home corner’ role play area.

"My son absolutely loves coming here!"

"The Old Station Nursery based at Oxford Science Park is absolutely amazing. My son is in the preschool setting and his key worker is so thorough with handovers and updating photos of what he’s been up to every week. Communication is great when needing to contact the settings for changes etc. Everyone is so friendly, polite and really welcoming. As my son has progressed through nursery his old keyworkers have kept in touch and are still in contact with him which is lovely. My son absolutely loves coming here! Couldn’t recommend it anymore! Massive Thumbs up!"

"The staff have been consistently caring and attentive"

"Our daughter has attended from 15 months to 3 years. The staff have been consistently caring and attentive, and the range of activities is great and really fun. We especially like the outdoor space and the way the staff really got to know our daughter, shown in little details such as playing her favourite songs for her to dance to or making a card for a special family birthday. The nursery is small enough to be caring and personal but big enough to have plenty going on and lots of variety. We have been very happy here, thank you!"

"The nursery is very inclusive and welcoming"

"Our daughter, who has developmental delays and a working diagnosis of ASD loves her nursery and the wonderful staff that look after her. The nursery is very inclusive and welcoming and the staff are always cheerful, patient and very friendly. The resources are great too. Everyone is always very helpful and we feel confident our daughter is happy, safe and cared for really well. The children also spend a lot of time outdoors in a lovely and spacious garden. I would highly recommend this setting."
