Hello! I'm Sammy, and I will be bringing classes to Norwich and the surrounding areas.

I feel passionately about children’s education and this has been the driving force behind me wanting to run The Phonics Fox® classes.

Having attended The Phonics Fox® classes online, I felt there was something really special about the way they were taught. My son was engaged and he really seemed to enjoy himself. It is rare to find a class that keeps the two of us captivated!

I have experience working with primary school children in community-based projects and schools. Most recently, I have worked closely with struggling children, primarily helping them to progress their reading and writing skills. I have found this so rewarding. Understanding how children can struggle with literacy really inspires me to want to lay down the foundations for learning.

Before I worked in education and had my two children, I had a fun and interesting career as a Television Producer- mainly creating observational documentaries. This has equipped me with many transferable skills that I will bring to classes. I have a creative background and a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Art Practices.

I am so excited to reach out to families, giving them opportunities to have fun and develop their understanding of phonics and the fundamentals of literacy through these engaging classes.

Child threading string with her mother helping out

Lovely classes for children. Introducing them to the sounds and shapes of the letters. The class size is small which I think really matters - each child has lots of interaction. Within a few weeks, my daughter picked up the sounds and remembers them.

Each session is varied with a different craft/activity each week. I was looking for a class to do with my 2.5yr old and I’m glad we gave it a go....it prepares them for reading and writing in school and for me, that’s worth every penny!
