Review: Photo Creator Instant Pocket Printer, worth £24.99

We recently got the chance to review the Photo Creator Instant Pocket Printer Set from Canal Toys – and it's safe to say, it's been a big hit! If your child loves getting creative and snapping pictures, this little gadget is a brilliant way to bring their photos to life.

What I loved straight away is how compact and easy it is to use. It’s lightweight, super portable, and doesn’t need any ink – just pop in the thermal paper and you're ready to print! It comes with three rolls of paper (including one sticky-backed roll), so there’s plenty to get started with.

My child really enjoyed using the free TinyPrint app, which was super quick and easy to set up. They found they could add filters, frames, and even doodles before printing out their photos. The prints come out in black and white, but that didn’t matter – they had loads of fun colouring them in with the included pens and decorating them with stickers. It’s been great for scrapbooking, birthday cards, and even making their own labels!

The printer charges via USB-C, and we’ve found the battery lasts a good while – plenty of time for a creative session or two. I also appreciate that the whole set is screen-free once the app is set up, which is a win in my book.

A quick heads-up: you might want to grab some extra paper rolls if your child gets hooked (like mine did!), but they’re reasonably priced and easy to find.

Overall, this is a fab little set for encouraging creativity without the mess. It's simple to use, fun, and gives kids something they can hold and keep.

Highly recommend – perfect for crafty kids and budding photographers!
