Abingdon Carousel Family Centre based in South Abingdon, opened following the closure of local children centres, to provide a safe, supportive and fun environment for parents and children of all ages to enjoy play sessions, meet other families and seek advice/help from the playwork team. We also run a 10 week Family Links course, 3 times a year, supporting parents to develop skills to get the best out a family life.
In addition to this, the centre provides a base from which all kinds of family services can operate sessions with organisations such as the NCT and NHS Health Visitors running sessions/ workshops.
The centre has a large playroom room with an all weather garden. We offer everything from art and crafts, messy play, role play, a huge selection of toys and much more.
The centre is staffed Monday-Friday 9am-2.30pm and we welcome families from North Abingdon, South Abingdon, surrounding villages and further afield.
We currently offers a variety of different sessions for families to attend:
Monday - 9-11am - Bumps and Babies
Tuesday - 9-11am - Stay and Play 0-4 years
Thursday - 9-11am - Stay and Play 0-4 years
Friday - 9-11am - Stay and Play 0-4 years
